PYTT with Lily was a transformative experience. I went into it with a certain amount of skepticism about doing an online training for what is, of course, an embodied practice, but Lily is masterful in bridging the virtual divide. Classes were interactive from the first, with participation encouraged through an active chat, open Q&A sections (that did not, however, spiral wildly off course), and practice teaching. On this last point, I was especially impressed—I did more practice teaching in this virtual space than in my 200-hour in-person YTT. Lily's Google Classroom is also immaculate, which is no small thing, with a trove of resources (both those we used during training and those she offered us to deepen our study and come back to in the future) carefully and clearly organized. Here too, we were encouraged to keep the conversation going between modules, offering our feedback and reflections on what were were covering in training. And this training was rigorous! Readings, a library of practice classes, asynchronous lectures and supplemental mini-lessons on meditation, chant, mudra and pranayama kept me busy and have opened new worlds in my teaching, whether in my regular hatha classes or prenatal. (And a note that I taught my first prenatal private class just days after our training with Lily concluded, and I could not have felt better prepared – I really was ready for it.) Thank you, Lily, and to those of you considering PYTT, I cannot recommend Lily's course highly enough.
